Yoruba actor, Ajigi Jaga dies

Popular Yoruba movie star, Muftau Adio, famously known as Ajigi jaga is dead.
Ajigi jaga, who is in his early 60s, died
on Friday in his Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos, residence. According to
information, his death is as a result of complications following
injuries he sustained from a motorcycle accident about two weeks ago.
The actor’s demise has been confirmed by the President of The Golden Movie Ambassadors (TGMA), Saidi Balogun.
Confirming
the sad incidence, Saidi described Ajigi Jaga’s death as a big loss to
the movie industry, especially to members of The Golden Movie
Ambassadors.
According to him, the thespian called last week to explain why he couldn’t attend the group’s last monthly meeting.
“I can recall that he mentioned that his absence was due to injuries he sustained in a motor-bike accident about two weeks ago.
“I
was shocked this morning to get a call from one of his children that he
had passed on. We shall miss his useful contributions to discussions on
how to move the movie industry forward and instill discipline and
professionalism in our members. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
Ajigi
Jaga will be remembered for always playing tough in movies, earning him
the alias, Broken Bottle. He recently got married to a young bride,
Taiwo Hassan.
According
to information, his remains will be interred in his village near
Wasimi, along Abeokuta, Ogun State today according to Islamic rites.
