The Coordinator of the National Headquarters Annex, Lagos of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Beatrice Okorie, has expressed regret over the technical issues encounter in some centres in the ongoing UTME. According to her, most of the technical issues encountered were unforeseen circumstances and could happen anywhere and to anyone. “We, indeed, regret the entire challenges because we mean well for the Nigerian-child. “We, however, must realize that these facilities are machines and can breakdown without warning. “Computers and generators are machines, just like cars. “You can service your car today and take it out but on the way it can develop another fault. “We actually went round for accreditation and a routine check of the various centres and their facilities before accreditation for the examination, which commenced on February 27.” She further stated that no candidate participating in the ongoing UTME would suffer any penalties as a result of such i...

A girl who is only known as Chisom who is a student of Imo State University, she was caught with another girl blackberry phone. She was in a club, when she decided to join the blackberry girls league (is there any group like that?) Chisom stoled the blackberry phone, tried to switch it off, but was unable to achieve that, so she put it inside her bag, then she decided to leave the party, but it was too late, the owner of the blackberry phone was already looking for it, she use another mobile to called her number. Alas, the phone was ringing inside Chisom handbag. The people in the popular club descended on her, they were determined to eliminate her life, but she was rescue by the gateman who drag her to a safe room. There is no gain in stealing (even 5 naira), you might lose your dignity/life in the process. #thinking out very loud When will our Girlfriends/sisters/girls/ learn that  blackberry is not a MUST have for all girls?  we keep hearing, seeing and reading stori...

One person was injured on Tuesday when a group of Mobile policemen from MOPOL 19 clashed with some operatives of the Nigerian Navy in Port Harcourt. The incident, which took place at about 6:20pm around Mummy B axis of GRA in the Rivers State capital, caused commotion as motorists scampered for safety. It was gathered that a vehicle carrying a group of Navy operatives was held up in a  gridlock along the ever-busy Mummy B road near the GRA junction. Not satisfied with the development, some naval ratings were said to have alighted from the vehicle and moved to the point where they met a group of Mobile policemen controlling the traffic.
