A huge python was found in Alagbole Odo bridge, Ogun state on Thursday, June 11, and subsequently killed. The emergence of the python was caused by the heavy rain over the previous days. The fierce-looking snake was said to have been killed by men in the bush around the area. Meanwhile, residents in the area describe the snake as the biggest so far adding that several other snakes had been killed in their homes. While the snake was pulled to the road side, scores of people gathered to have a glimpse of the scary creature.

It was a tragic Friday as 11 students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University , Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and another passenger, died in an auto crash along Sagamu-Benin Expressway on Friday. A witness disclosed that the crash occurred at Ilishan area of Remo Local Government of the state, as a result of an head-on-collision between a truck and a Mazda bus conveying the students from Ijebu area to Lagos. He said the crash occurred because the truck with registration number Lagos, BDG 779 XE, drove against the traffic, before ramming the oncoming Mazda bus with registration number, XV 311 MUS, killing all its occupants. Agric as the approved nomenclature for degree programme in Agriculture in the Nigerian University System (NUS). A 75-year old grandfather, who allegedly slept with his granddaughter, has told the police that he was lured into the shameful act by his daughter. A SECURITY man with one of the banks robbed in Ikorodu, Lagos, on Wednesday, yesterday relived what he called “an horrible experience”. The robbery scene was desolate-the day after- as many offices, including the banks, were closed. Traffic on Ogolonto Road was light; the few businesses that opened within 500metres of Majidun Bridge, assessed the damaged to their properties by stray bullets.  Twelve people were injured; eight vehicles were damaged during the operation. The corpse of a 28-year-old graduate, known as Kehinde, who lived with his father on Omosebi Olugbo Street was found in an abandoned well in their house shortly after he had been declared missing.   It was gathered that Kehinde had a strange mental illness for about five years and was always indoors. A middle- aged man is currently being detained by operatives of Edo State Police Command for allegedly siphoning diesel from a truck belonging to a beverage company located at Ikpoba Hill, in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the State. It was gathered that the suspect was caught at about 4 : 00 am on 27 May by a vigilant night guard in the area , who noticed a flow of diesel on the ground close to where the truck was parked. He allegedly traced the flow to the truck where he found the suspect channelling the petroleum product into waiting jerry cans . Sighting the night guard, the suspect was said to have fled the scene , but the guard who raised an alarm, later overpowered him after a hot chase . The alarm raised by the night guard was said to have drawn the attention of residents and traders in the area who descended on the suspect.  Timely intervention of policemen from Aduwawa police division however saved him from being lynched and later whisked away . ...
